I first developed a love for woodworking in high school shop class. As a career Marine Corps officer I could not move with large tools, however I bought a Shopsmith. It served me well in hobby of furniture making while I was constantly moving. When I retired, I started adding larger tools. In 2007, I bought my first lathe and was quickly drawn to turning. I almost immediately started segmented turning and took classes with Malcolm at Anderson Ranch and Mark Adams School. Slowly, I have become essentially a full time turner. My work has won a few local and national awards. I am a member of AAW and the Coastal Bend Wood turners in Corpus Christi, Texas. |
